Brant D. Appel, J.D.

MANAGING DIRECTOR, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Brant Appel joined the Fairport team in 2016. As chief operating officer, he has primary accountability for the finance, operations, compliance and integration functions of the firm. Brant has been an invaluable contributor to the firm’s M&A efforts successfully adding offices in Chicago, Illinois and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Brant earned his MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Akron’s College of Business Administration. Prior to attending the University of Akron, Brant received his juris doctor degree from the University of Illinois, College of Law cum laude and a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University.

Brant is a graduate of the Hightower Center for Leadership, an education and training program designed to empower the next generation of leaders in Hightower advisory businesses. He is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honors society comprised of business school graduates in the top 20% of its class. He has been a member of the Ambassadors Committee of The First Tee of Cleveland since 2016.

Brant lives on Cleveland’s West Side with his wife and young son. He is an avid fan of all Cleveland sports and enjoys being active outdoors with his family.
